Spa, my first time A2A!! August 9

During the Spa Fly-in on August 9 I joined Photocrew for my first A2A (Air to Air) fotoshoot! They offered this opportunity to all aviation photographers weaks before. I subscribed and received the wonderfull news I was one of the lucky ones! I was hoping to get somelike opportunity somewhere in the future once, I never ever thought about this year!

We flew for about 45 minutes and there were four type of aircraft hanging behind the Skyvan: the Yak-52 (yes!!!), P-51 Mustang (classic warbird!), PC-7 (RNLAF uses the same type as a trainer) and the freshly painted and rare OV-10 Bronco (only in Europe!). Because this was a very special occasion I uploaded the pictures in a larger size (1024 instead of the standard 800).

The experience was truly unbelievable. By far the best pictures I ever made! It is a very weird feeling when you are sitting on the edge of an open Skyvan, open sky in front of you, then an aircraft shows up just meters away! And it's hanging there just for the photographers in the Skyvan, nobody else. Not to give a display but only for you to make some amazing photographs. Then he disapears again and another one shows up, an amazing feeling...

Again I would like to thank Photocrew for this wonderfull oppertunity, a big fat grin keeps showing up everytime I look at the pictures :) And it won't go away.
