Chipmeet, Zoersel-Oostmalle, May 21, 24

For the first time I visited Zoersel and it's Chipmeet. The Chipmeet is an anual event held in May. The first day is always Ascension Day and the last the Sunday after so plenty of time to visit!

Not only Chipmunks attend the Chipmeet! You will often find a great variety of other aircraft.

For only five euro's you get an orange safety vest and entry to almost the entire airfield! This allows you to take fantastic photos from various corners, even next to the active runway! But offcourse that doesn't mean there are no rules! Be safe, stay clear of aircraft and don't get in the way of pilots/aircraft and personnel. Everybody knows those rules and respects them. This way a very smooth atmosphere is born.

While writing this it is almost a year ago I visited the Chipmeet and since then I've visited various other events but the Chipmeet is still one of my big favourites! The possibilities for a photographer are almost endless (just stick to the rules). I'm looking forward to the next Chipmeet!
